KAJANG: The headmistress of a school where bullies were alleged to have driven T. Kavinraj into committed suicide has claimed that five students are being investigated over the case.
However, the police denied that they have received a report over the matter.
The boy’s close family friend Sambhasivam Doraisamy, 49, said Kavinraj’s family met the school’s headmistress on Thursday and were told that the five students are being investigated for bullying Kavinraj.
“That’s all she said. When I asked who they were or if they were Kavinraj’s classmates or what action is going to be taken, she didn’t want to tell us.
“She said we need to speak to police because it was a police case.”
On Feb 8, the SMK Bandar Rinching student allegedly drank pesticide in his home bathroom and died at a Semenyih clinic.
His family claimed that Kavinraj had complained of being bullied.
When contacted, Kajang OCPD ACP Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahab denied the family’s claim, adding that no report was lodged with the district police.
