Ex-Mimos GM jailed 56 years for graft


KUALA LUMPUR, 13 Feb -- Anggota polis mengiringi Bekas Pengurus Besar Kewangan Mimos Berhad Khairuddin Khalid, 54, yang dijatuhi hukuman penjara 56 tahun dan denda lebih RM5.02 juta oleh Mahkamah Sesyen Kuala Lumpur terhadap lapan pertuduhan masing-masing meminta dan menerima rasuah melebihi RM500,000 di sini hari ini. KUALA LUMPUR: A former Mimos Bhd financial general manager was sentenced to a total of 56 years in jail and fined RM5mil for accepting bribes of about RM1mil.

Khairuddin Khalid, 53, who is currently the chief operating officer of a private IT company, was sentenced to seven years for each of the eight charges.
