JOHOR BARU: A 33-year-old chef drowned and two others swam to safety after the car they were travelling in plunged into a river, near a wholesale market, here.
The three were travelling to celebrate the Chinese New Year in their hometown Kluang, more than 100km from here, when the accident occurred along the Johor Baru-Kota Tinggi road at around 5am yesterday.
