Three charged with failing to inform cops about price hike rally


KUALA LUMPUR: Three Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) members were charged with failing to inform police ahead of time about their rally against price hikes on New Year’s Eve.

SAMM chairmen Badrul Hisham Shaharin, 35, and Muhd Bukhairy Sofian, 23, and its propaganda director Edy Nor Reduan, 33, claimed trial to failure to notify police 10 days ahead of organising a rally protesting the increase of prices of goods and the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
