Victim's hubby to take action

GEORGE TOWN: Electrician Najib Ismail Khan wants the police to probe the death of his wife, who was killed when her motorcycle crashed into a toppled skylift boom at Jalan Masjid Negri here.

“I hope the police will investigate the accident. If it was due to human factors, I will take legal action,” he said.

Machinist Che Fatimah Ishak, 50, was riding to work in Bayan Lepas when the accident happened at around 6.25am yesterday.

About three hours earlier, the skylift crashed and two workers who were carrying out streetlight maintenance crashed down with it. Both were injured.

Najib said the family depended on his wife for their daily expenses. He added that he quit his job as a sports equipment salesman more than a month ago.
