GEORGE TOWN: A former consultant engineer was sentenced to three years' jail and fined RM1.75mil, in default six months' jail, by a Sessions Court here Monday for accepting a bribe of RM350,000 in 2009.
Sessions judge Sitarun Nisa Abdul Aziz, in passing her judgement, said the prosecution managed to prove the case against Chua Beng Seong, 55, beyond any reasonable doubt.
