KUALA LUMPUR: The group of shoppers and the little girl who got away with a multi-million-ringgit diamond ring from a high-end jewellery boutique in Bukit Bintang a week ago may have been part of an international crime syndicate, the police said.
“We will be seeking help from Interpol to ascertain whether they are part of a well-oiled international crime syndicate,” acting city CID chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa said here yesterday.
