"Some roads have been closed even today (Thursday) in preparation for the celebration," he said when contacted.

Among the roads that will be closed are Jalan Batu Caves Lama, Bulatan Batu Caves and Jalan Perusahaan.

DCP Abd Rahim advised motorists who are not part of the celebration to avoid these and other roads around Batu Caves.

"Devotees are reminded to follow instructions from traffic personnel and to park at the designated spaces.

"We are also curbing the activities of illegal parking operators who demand money," he said, adding that the police would ensure the safety of all involved.
