Jais acted within Non-Islamic Religions Enactment, says Mais


PETALING JAYA: The Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) has defended the raid by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) on the office of the Bible Society of Malaysia (BSM), saying that it was carried out according to the rule of law.

Mais chairman Datuk Mohd Adzib Mohd Isa said the action taken by Jais to enter the office of BSM was in accordance with the law, particularly the Non-Islamic Religions (Con­trols of Propagation Among Muslims) Enactment 1988.
