SHAH ALAM: Police plan to install another 1,000 closed-circuit television cameras in Selangor next year under the Royal Malaysia Police SafeCam Partnership project to further reduce crime.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said there were currently 666 CCTVs in operation in Selangor. The cameras were installed in stages since January last year.
