YAN: Former Kedah Mentri Besar Tan Sri Azizan Abdul Razak widow Puan Sri Faekah Sheikh Hamzah has cried foul that her phone number being hacked to send out hoax messages, urging Sungai Limau folks to vote for Barisan Nasional.
“This is not true. I don’t know who have received the SMS.
“I only came to know about it when I started receiving SMS and phone calls since Sunday night at 11pm to query me about that matter,” she told the press after casted her vote at SK Bukit Besar in Kota Sarang Semut on Monday.
She added that some of them did not believe the SMS but some even hurled abusive words to her.
Faekah said she had received about 70 SMS and phone calls about the hoax message until the afternoon.
“This is their last minute agenda as it’s already the polling day and now they send out such messages,” she lamented, adding that such act was ‘tak berakhlak’ (morally wrong).
She said she would be lodging a police report on the hoax message after consulting her lawyer.
Besides Faekah, other Opposition leaders also reportedly to became the victim of such incident where their phones were hacked to send out hoax messages.
There were Kedah PAS commissioner Datuk Mahfuz Omar, Jerai Pas committee member Mohd Firdaus Jaafar and Bukit Bendera MP Zairil Khir Johari.
