Hadi Awang: Syariah-compliant criminal laws can curb rising crime rate


DAP chairman Karpal Singh has been consistent in his objection to the implementation of hudud in Malaysia and has repeatedly said that hudud was not part of the common policy framework of the loose coalition of DAP, PAS and PKR.

He also had said it should not be included in its common manifesto. However PAS leaders have repeatedly said that the establishment of hudud law was part of the party's struggle and it didn't have to get its allies' approval.
