Brother identifies remains of Malaysian killed in Lao Airlines plane crash

PETALING JAYA: The brother of Angelin Teh has confirmed that two bodies recovered at the crash site involving a Lao Airlines plane were that of her and her American husband Joel Babcock.

“The body recovered by the Laotian authorities has been confirmed to be Ms Angelin Teh by her brother who flew in from Malaysia,” said Mohd Zakhir Haji Yusof, Counsellor and Head of Chancery at the Malaysian Embassy in Laos.

Teh's brother also identified Babcock’s remains.

According to Zakhir, the family has requested that details of funeral rites and repatriation be kept private.

On Wednesday, the ATR-72 turboprop plane crashed into the Mekong River killing all 49 passengers and crew.
