BANGKOK: The family of the late Chin Peng has refuted rumours by critics who claimed that the date of his death was manipulated to coincide with the Malaysia Day anniversary.
Lee Suvit, 62, reiterated that the former Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) secretary-general was certified to be dead at 6.20am in a hospital in Bangkok on Sept 16.
