KUALA LUMPUR: Three Malaysian-born Indians have finally been given their certificates of citizenship and received their MyKad after more than a year’s wait.
S. Letchumy, 71, and her daughters K. Mala, 36, and K. Sarojini, 34, had filed an application for judicial review in the High Court last year challenging the National Registration Department’s (NRD) decision that they were not qualified to apply for citizenship.
