Guan Eng lodges police report of Twitter death threat

GEORGE TOWN: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has lodged a police report over a death threat he received via Twitter.

On Thursday, the Twitter user, who goes by the handle @MoonYue18 (Moon Yue) tweeted: “#DinastyLim #CEC #DAPig @cmlimguaneng cheater!! u mati minggu depan (Lim Guan Eng is a cheater and will die next week)”.

In a press conference at his office in Komtar here on Friday, Lim said he was shocked and worried about his safety.

“My lawyer has advised him to lodge the police report,” he said.

@MoonYue18 also posted a death threat to Permatang Pauh MP Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with "ini Melayu lu langsi lu mati" (do not show off or you'll die).
