PM Najib officiates ground-breaking ceremony for state govt building in Pahang

KUANTAN: The ground-breaking ceremony for the Pahang state government's new administration complex was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in Kota SAS here.

The entire project will be built in two phases on 62.5 acres of land.

The first phase of the project involving 47.2 acres will house the new state assembly building, Mentri Besar and state secretary office, as well as state and federal government agencies.

Najib said upon completion, the new complex would be an iconic symbol for the Pahang state government.

He said the design was based on the state logo and using green technology to preserve the environment and surroundings.

"The complex will provide a conducive environment for civil servants to enhance their efficiency and productivity.

"This is also in line with the public aspirations to have a better public delivery system," he said in his speech.

Also present were Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob and Najib's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
