PENANG Deputy Chief Minister Prof P. Ramasamy has called on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to step in and solve the problems faced by 29 former estate workers in Lubuk Sekinta, about 50km from Sungai Petani in Kedah.
According to a Tamil Nesan report, Prof Ramasamy said the workers, who had spent most of their lives in the estate since they were young, had been promised jobs in the estate after receiving their compensation.
