He said the victim was said to have left the premises at about 4.30am to deposit the previous day sale's collection at a bank in Bandar Dungun.

Police have not ruled out robbery as the motive because the victim's Toyota Hilux, with registration number CCL 5445, and wallet were missing, he told reporters here.

He said a certain amount of money was found in the victim's pocket, believed to be the money which he had intended to deposit into the bank.

He said the body was then sent to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) in Kuala Terengganu for a post mortem.

ACP Manoharan believed that the victim was attacked by more than one person.

He urged witnesses and those with information on the incident to contact the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, a report on the post mortem conducted on the victim confirmed that he was shot with two bullets, which were lodged on the chest and left shoulder, retrieved from the body. - Bernama
