KUALA LUMPUR: The system on reporting child abuse is flawed, which has led to many abuse cases not coming to the attention of the authorities, said the chairman of a child welfare NGO.
James Nayagam, Suriana Welfare Society for Children chairman said this in light of mechanic T.Rajasegaran, 32, who had his jail sentence raised from one year to two-and-a-half years for abusing his three-year-old stepson.
