KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has no plans to allow bankrupt Malaysians to withdraw their Employees Provident Funds (EPF) savings to settle credit card debts, Parliament was told Monday.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said a proposal to settle credit card debts using EPF savings was not in line with the principle of the fund, which was a social security body that managed retirement plans for its members.
