KUALA LUMPUR: Open burning is banned in Terengganu, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya until further notice.
Department of Environment director-general Datuk Halimah Hassan said exceptions would be given for religious and funeral rites, activities such as grilling or barbecues and gas flaring activities.
