KOTA BARU: Kelantan Umno chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed will fight his arch rival, Jeli PAS commissioner Mohd Apandi Mohamad, whom he beat in the 2008 general election by a 4,436 majority votes for the Jeli parliamentary seat.
Mustapa, who is tipped to be Kelantan mentri besar should Barisan win the state, is also contesting the Air Lanas state seat against PAS newcomer Abdullah Yaacob, who is the Jeli PAS deputy commissioner.
