KUCHING: Barisan Nasional's streak of unopposed wins in Sarawak since the 1978 parliamentary polls has finally ended.
For the first time in 35 years, all seats are contested and more than half of them will see multi-cornered fights. In the 2008 polls, there were five Barisan candidates winning unopposed and 20 straight fights.
