KANGAR: Umno stalwart Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim (pic) would rather stay put in his Tambun Tulang state seat than move to a parliamentary constituency, believing he is “one of the best persons to lead the state”.
Shahidan, the Arau MP for two terms before he became mentri besar in 1995, claims he is popular among the locals and enjoys strong grassroots support.
