Authors Dr Kenneth Fong, a consultant ophthalmologist and retinal surgeon at the Sunway Medical Centre, and Goo Chui Hoong, dietician and culinary instructor, received the prize at the Gourmand's 18th Awards Gala at Le Carrousel du Lourve at one of the world's largest gathering of cookbook publishers, authors and agents.

Food for your Eyes is published by Star Publications (M) Bhd.

At the same awards, Malaysian celebrity chef, Chef Wan, was recognised for his contributions to food TV with a Special Awards of the International Jury for TV-English, beating six other contenders including Britain's Jamie Oliver.
