GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government wants to take the Federal Government and the Election Commission (EC) to Federal Court to compel the restoration of the local government elections in the state.
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (pix) said restoring the local government elections in the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) and Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) has long been a fundamental demand and commitment of the state since 2008.
