KUALA TERENGGANU: The sales of prisoners' products nationwide are expected to increase to RM20mil this year from RM17mil last year due to better quality produced, said Prisons Department director-general Datuk Seri Zulkifli Omar.
Products such as agricultural items, catfish, frozen food, hari raya kuih, woven fabric, songket and furniture are in high demand for they meet consumer tastes, he told reporters after the presentation of outstanding achievement awards to 183 personnel from the department's east zone here, on Sunday.
