PETALING JAYA: Many have already started buying or making bookings for festive delicacies and reserving tables at restaurants for their yearly reunion dinners to beat the mad rush and sky-high prices for Chinese New Year goods, which is expected to start a week or two before the celebrations.
Housewife Christine Lim, 50, said she would normally start preparing for CNY at least a month before, to avoid having to pay hiked up prices.
