GEORGE TOWN: The streets of George Town's heritage enclave took on a carnival atmosphere when thousands of locals and tourists thronged the Live Heritage festival to celebrate the historic city's fourth anniversary as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
There were more than 40 cultural performances and showcases from the local communities, open house visits to historical sites and homes, talks on history and culture, arts and crafts highlights and food bazaars.
