Selangor Sultan reinstates Datukship of former exco member Saidin

SHAH ALAM: Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has reinstated the Datukship of former Selangor executive councillor Datuk Saidin Thamby after the latter was cleared of a graft charge last month, said Selangor state secretary Datuk Khusrin Munawi on Tuesday.

The Sultan had suspended the Dato Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) award on Saidin on Oct 30, 2004 after Saidin was accused of accepting a RM1mil cheque as gratification.
