KUALA LUMPUR: The Home Ministry has rapped Tenaganita executive director Irene Fernandez for alleging that migrant workers were being exploited in Malaysia when in reality, the country has implemented various mechanisms to protect migrant workers from being exploited.
The ministry said in a statement that among the mechanisms were the enforcement of the Anti-Trafficking In Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007.
