KUALA LUMPUR: Dataran Merdeka and all roads leading to the iconic venue will be temporarily closed from 6am Friday to 6am Sunday.
Mayor Tan Sri Ahmad Fuad Ismail said in a statement Thursday, citing the 1992 Local Government (Dataran Merdeka) (Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory) bylaw, that no gathering can be held at Dataran Merdeka without a written consent of the mayor.
