No justification to write off PTPTN loans

KUALA LUMPUR: There is no justification for the Government to abolish and write off National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) study loans as students use around 70% of the loan on personal expenses, said Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA Youth chief, who is also Deputy Education Minister, said many students used only around 30% of their loan to pay for their school fees.
