Prasarana launches new LRT extension


KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd (Prasarana) launched its multi-billion ringgit Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line Extension Project (LEP) costing RM7bil on Monday, with the lifting of the first set of 14,692 Segmental Box Girders (SBG).

Speaking to reporters, Prasarana Group managing director Datuk Shahril Mokhtar said the extension for Ampang Line was 17.7km long with 11 new stations, while the Kelana Jaya Line extension was 17km long with 12 new stations.
