KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Ritcher scale hit Northern Sumatra, Indonesia at 9.20pm Monday.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement said the earthquake occurred 105km southeast of Simeulue, Indonesia and 484km southwest of Kampar, Perak.
