Ex-top cop’s acquittal stays


KUALA LUMPUR: Two High Courts here have upheld the decisions to acquit former Commercial Crimes Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Ramli Yusuff over charges of being involved in business while still being a civil servant and not disclosing information about his assets.

High Court judge Justice Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah upheld a lower court ruling acquitting Ramli, 59, of being involved in business while his peer Justice Ghazali Cha maintained the decision to free the former officer of three charges of not disclosing information about his assets and shares.
