PENANG: Floods in Johor may have contributed to the “unusually quiet” Chinese New Year in Penang as fewer people have been letting off firecrackers on the island.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Azam Abd Hamid said the recent floods could have affected the supply of firecrackers.
