A five-year-old girl was scalded with hot tomyum soup while having dinner at a restaurant in Balok, Kuantan, last Saturday. A waiter serving the table reportedly bumped into the child and accidentally poured the hot soup her, causing severe burns on her back and neck. The victim's condition stabilised following treatment. Her father, known only as Zack, said the family was seeking advice on the next course of action to take against the restaurant. The manager of the restaurant said he had visited the victim and offered an apology to the family. He hoped that the case could be settled amicably.
