A 27-year-old man has denied that he was the driver in the car who tried to knock down a motorcyclist to use the emergency lane along a highway in Kuala Lumpur recently. A video of the incident has gone viral on Facebook and the individual who posted the video also made public the alleged driver's personal details. The driver, identified only as Tang, said he had been receiving threatening phone calls and even had strangers showing up outside his house after details of his full name, home address, car registration number and phone number were made public on social media. Tang said he continues to receive criticism from netizens although he denies being the person behind the wheel. "A few motorcyclists even gathered outside my house after the video went viral. I am afraid to leave my house. I worry for my safety," he said. Tang lodged a police report at the Kelana Jaya station urging the authorities to track down the actual driver of the car.

An Indonesian woman died after she was struck by lightning while doing landscaping work under the air traffic control tower at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Tuesday afternoon. The 45-year-old victim reportedly died at the scene. Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Aziz Ali said a co-worker found the victim's body and immediately alerted management.
