Teacher remembers part-time model who drove against traffic as a loner

A secondary school teacher, who had taught the part-time model who drove against traffic and caused a six-vehicle accident that killed one motorist, said the teenager used to be a loner at school. "She seldom brought books to school, she brought a mirror and hair comb instead. And she used to sit by herself and comb her hair," said the teacher who declined to be identified. The teacher had taught the 19-year-old at SMK Saint Mark when she was in Form Two. She had neither many friends nor caused problems in school, recalled the teacher.  The teacher also remembered that her former student carried a Persons with Disability (OKU) card due to her learning disability. Police confirmed that the teenager has an OKU card issued by the Social Welfare Department. The teenager will be charged Friday under Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act for consuming drugs at the Bukit Mertajam court.

A 22-year-old man, who is believed to be mentally unstable, repeatedly hit his father with a brick leading to his death at Kampung Banggol Jenereh in Tanah Merah, Kelantan. It is understood that the victim was sleeping when he was attacked by his son at 4am Thursday. Mohd Fauzi Mamat, 62, a fishmonger, died on the same day at 11pm due to severe head and face injuries.
