Hong Kong star Andy Lau needs at least six months to recover from an injury he sustained after a fall from a horse in Thailand. The 55-year-old artiste flew back to Hong Kong from Thailand on Thursday. Lau suffered a pelvic bone injury following the Jan 17 accident. He was filming a commercial at Khao Lak, three hours outside Bangkok.

Penang songbird Jeryl Lee Pei Ling will sing for senior citizens at several old folks homes during the coming Chinese New Year. The 16-year-old lass, who became an overnight sensation when she made the finals of the "Sing! China" competition last year, said she felt happy that she could bring joy to them. Pei Ling said her mother, Ivy Liew, had taken her to sing in charity organisations during the festive season since she was 13.
