'Captain America' captures attention in classes

Besides performing magic tricks, a teacher in Tawau was willing to dress up as comic hero Captain America to capture the attention of his students during lessons. Abdullah Alif Dahlan said the idea was also meant to encourage the students to think creatively out of the box and to widen their perspective. The 32-year-old teacher, fondly known as Cikgu Alif, has been teaching Bahasa Malaysia, Physical Education and music to Year Four students in a school located in the district. "I can see a huge difference when I wear my costume to teach. Students who were passive in class would become joyful and even dared to interact with me," he said.
