South Korean artistes probed for prostitution

The South Korean entertainment industry was shaken again by another wave of prostitution scandal. At least five female artistes including two singers are being investigated following the arrest of a pimp, who was just released from jail last June. She was sentenced to six months imprisonment for pimping beauty pageant-turned-actress Sung Hyun-ah. On Tuesday, an unidentified singer was called in for investigation at the prosecution’s office. She was said to have been paid 40mil Won (RM140,000), on three occasions, to have sex with a South Korean businessman at a hotel in Los Angeles.

>Drunk driver abandons injured old couple in accident
A Taiwanese man abandoned an old couple, whom he injured in a drunk driving accident, by the roadside at a dark and secluded lane. He had rammed his car into the octogenarian couple, who was riding on a motorcycle, in Yilan on Tuesday. After the accident, he apologised and begged the couple not to report to the police and promised to send them to the hospital. But instead of heading to the hospital, he took the couple on a two-hour terror ride before dragging them out of the car and left them at a secluded lane.
