Popular Hong Kong model and actress Michelle Reis is said to be pregnant. There were speculations that the 45-year-old artiste did not attend several family events recently as she was pregnant. When asked by reporters, Reis merely smile and did not comment about it. Reis, who married business tycoon Julian Hui in 2008, has a four-year-old son.

The Education Ministry has yet to give allocations to the state and district Education Department to conduct various sports and academic competitions, sources said. The allocation was supposed to be given as meal and transport subsidies for the teachers and students who took part in the competitions. It was learnt that Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Perak were affected. Some of the competitions at the state and district-levels had to be cancelled this year due to lack of allocation. Deputy Education Minister Chong Sin Woon admitted that the allocations had been reduced.
