Transport Ministry might upgrade AES to nab bikers


Transport Ministry is looking into the ways to upgrade Automated Enforcement System (AES) so that it could also nab bikers who were speeding, Sin Chew Daily reported. Its minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the AES could only capture cars which driving over the speed limit currently. Liow said even though the ministry might upgrade the AES, it might not issue summons to bikers who were speeding. “We want to motorists especially bikers to comply with traffic laws,” he said during an interview with Chinese dailies recently. He said the public could give their opinions and views on the AES through kejara@jpj.gov.my and aes@jpj.gov.my
