> Hong Kong star Julian Cheung celebrated birthday in KL
Hong Kong star Julian Cheung Chi-lam, who was accompanied by his wife Anita Yuen, celebrated his 43rd birthday in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. During the event, Cheung tasted the empurau fish popularly known as wang bu liao (Forget Me Not) among the Chinese for its expensive price tag as well as its delicious meat. Cheung is in Malaysia to prepare for his concert Chilam Crazy Hours which will be held at Bukit Jalil on Friday.
> Over 50 people rushed to donate blood for pregnant woman
More than 50 people had rushed to the Penang Hospital to donate blood for a 27-year-old pregnant woman, who is suffering from blood cancer, since the news broke out on social media and the newspapers early this week. Lim Siew Wai, who is six-months pregnant, was touched with the public response and thanked them for their help. Lim was reported to be in stable condition.
> Baby scalded just seven hours after birth
A newborn baby was badly scalded in a hospital in Seri Manjung, Perak, allegedly due to the carelessness of a nurse on duty. The 3.31kg baby suffered burns and blisters on his skin just seven hours after he was born. The baby has been transferred to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for treatment, while police confirmed receiving a report regarding the case. State exco member Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said the state health department would investigate the incident.
