Responding to Khazanah Nasional Bhd's takeover and transformation of Malaysia Airlines (MAS), Umno Youth exco member Dazma Shah Daud has suggested to make it compulsory for Muslim flight stewardesses to wear the head scarve and uniform that cover their aurat. He said the move would help to improve the image and integrity of MAS. His suggestion was well-received by the MAS Employees Union (Maseu). Umno Youth's Religious Bureau chairman Azmir Yuzaimi Mohd Yunos had also suggested that the airline stop serving alcohol as it was against Islamic teachings. He said besides MAS, all other airlines operating in the country should stop serving alcohol.

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) has no authority to take action over photography sessions being held around the area. According to the council's legal adviser, Syahrul Azrin Ghazali, no permit from local authorities is required for the purpose of photography recording. He was asked to comment about the “semi-nude” wedding photoshoot at the city's "Old Town" area which had caused a stir on social media.

Hong Kong artiste Kenny Bee had tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Fan-jiang Su-zhen in Bali on Sunday. More than 30 artistes including Maggie Cheung, Cherie Chung, Eric Tsang, Jacky Cheung and Tony Leung Ka-fai attended the wedding. The two daughters of the 62-year-old artiste and his girlfriend of 17 years also attended the event. Bee  has two children from his previous marriage.
