Eight year-old Alif Haiqal couldn’t hold back his tears when he saw and touched the casket of his mother, Hamfazlin Sham Mohamed Arifin, at the Monuta Innemee funeral home in S-Gravenhage, Netherlands. Flight attendant Hamfazlin Sham was one of the Malaysian victims on board downed Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH17.

According to Vincent Kwo, president of Life Insurance Association of Malaysia, a total of RM7.1mil in insurance payouts has yet to be claimed yet by the families of passengers on board Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flights MH370 and MH17. A total of RM34.2mil was set aside by insurance companies as insurance payouts.
