An 11-year-old boy from Longtou, China, who was buried along with his two-year-old sister under earthquake rubble, touched the hearts of rescuers when he asked for his sister to be saved first. The boy, Lin Zhi Long, managed to call his class teacher Chen Fang on Aug 3 after the quake to seek help. Chen, who has since returned to her hometown in Ludian County, then took seven hours to get to the site to rescue the children. After rescuers called out several times to Lin, he responded and urged them to save his sister before him. The children were rescued soon after, having suffered only minor injuries.
